Create aged, crackled finishes on a variety of surfaces. Apply over sealed or painted surfaces. Let dry. Apply thin coat of contrasting color of Americana Decor Chalky Finish paint on top of dried medium. Crackle effect will occur during drying process. Non-toxic.
TIP: The heavier the coat, the larger the cracks. The thinner the coat, the smaller the cracks.

Americana Decor brushes make painting and waxing furniture easy and mess-free. These brushes have a comfortable grip and make difficult-to-reach areas seem less daunting. The bristles are strong and durable yet remain flexible. Use Americana Decor brushes to add texture and creating many other faux finishes.
Americana Decor all-purpose brushes are light-weight and have soft bristles. 100% nylon/polyester tapered filaments release paint and varnish uniformly and leave an ultra smooth finish.

Due to the porous nature of Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint, Créme Wax can be applied to fuse with chalk paint and create a super strong layer of protection against daily use.
Use Americana Decor Varnish to seal and protect any pieces that will be used or displayed outdoors and that do not need to be reapplied regularly.

Americana Decor Créme Waxes, 8 oz.
|
Americana Decor Créme Waxes are available in three shades and have a creamy consistency unlike other solid waxes on the market. Due to the porous nature of Americana® Decor™ Chalky Finish paints, Crème Waxes literally fuse with the paint to provide a super strong layer of protection against daily use. Waxes do need to be reapplied regularly to ensure the paint finish remains protected. However, using a wax will allow a greater range of finishing options. Do not use wax on an outdoor piece; instead, use an Americana® Decor™ varnish.
TIP: To achieve a washed look, Clear Crème Wax can be tinted with a lighter color before application.

Americana® Decor™ Varnishes come in three styles: Soft Touch, Light Satin, and Ultra Matte. When looking for a permanent, still-soft finish, use Soft-Touch Varnish. It delivers a luxuriously soft, yet durable, polyurethane finish. The Light Satin offers just a hint of sheen, and the Ultra Matte provides a zero-sheen, no-glare finish. These varnishes can be used in place of Americana® Decor™ Crème Waxes for pieces that will be used outdoors or for a protective finish that will not need to be re-applied regularly.
TIP: Ultra Matte and Light Satin Varnish will give the product a high degree of protection for both indoor and outdoor use. The innovative Soft Touch Varnish gives a true, velvety feel to any painted surface.
TIP: Always use a varnish for outdoor pieces. Simply brush 2-3 coats of desired varnish directly over dry Chalky Finish paint.
